Fleming
County covers 351 square miles in the outer Bluegrass region of northeastern
Kentucky. We are located 55 miles northeast of Lexington, Kentucky; 75 miles
southeast of Cincinnati, Ohio; 130 miles east of Louisville, Kentucky; and
within a day's drive of 65% of the U.S. population.
Major
local industries include Tinnerman Palnut, makers of automotive and appliance trim;
Housing Innovations, a mobile home manufacturer; 4 Seasons Marketing; GreenTree Forest
Products,
specialty pallets and skids, hardwood grade lumber products; Wallingford Pallet,
pallets, lumber and sawdust; Appalachian Floor Vents, hardwood floor registers;
Hypac Inc., refurbishers of hydraulic equipment; Riverside Plastics, plastic
flower pots, boat parts, plastic livestock equipment; and TOYO SEAT USA, makers
of automotive seat tracks, latches and seat frames. The current labor supply is
good. Industrial sites are available in the Flemingsburg/Fleming County
Industrial Park.
